Northern Ultralight is a small company producing trail-proven outdoor equipment, with the aim of connecting people and wild spaces.
Northern Ultralight produces lightweight outdoor equipment out of a small scale workshop in Nelson, BC. The inspiration for starting our company arose over the course of multiple thru hikes across the United States. It was along these border-to-border footpaths that the benefits of lightweight gear became truly apparent. Our gear is designed and crafted to strike a fine balance between weight, durability, and functionality.
Our manufacturing process begins by pairing innovative designs with high-end raw materials, primarily sourced from within North America. With utmost care and attention to detail, our talented team then transforms these raw goods into beautiful products that are built to last for the long haul. By keeping the design and manufacturing of our products local, we are able to quickly implement changes and make improvements to our products over time.
