Oxygen Art Centre is an artist-run centre located in Nelson, B.C.
Through education, residencies, exhibitions and events Oxygen advances rural cultural development and achieves experimental, accessible and inclusive programming. The centre also works to stimulate rural cultural development and professional practices in rural artists; to engage in community development through art-based special projects and to achieve diversity in all programming. Oxygen Art Centre offers Arts Education programming for Children, Youth and Adults. Spring Break and Summer art camps for children and youth are offered annually, as well as Fall and Winter/Spring semesters of Continuing Arts Education. Classes are in writing, visual art, performance, music, acting, film, interdisciplinary arts practice and creative process.
