I create and share stories and information in a way that audiences listen, respond and connect.
Through freelance writing, communications and consulting, I share stories and information to help foster greater understanding, connect people and ideas and inspire action or change. I do this through my own company, opened in 2017. That came after a successful career as a television news reporter/anchor, followed by 20 years in PR/Communications. A good portion of my work life has been in the agriculture sector but I’ve worked in health and education as well. I have experience in all levels of government and in the private sector. I’m CPRS and IABC accredited as well as past president and a long-time national director on the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation. I’ve been fortunate to have my communications, writing and photography recognized with several awards. Past successes include launching issues management and social media at Farm Credit Canada (Canada’s leading agriculture lender), advising senior officials and provincial ministers, as well as growing and strengthening the City of Regina Communications Department as Director. Although my business is based in Kelowna, I continue working remotely with clients.
