Mistaya Lodge is backcountry luxury! Join us at our helicopter access backcountry lodge in the Canadian Rocky Mountains for alpine hiking in the summer, or guided ski touring in untouched powder in the winter. We are a family-run lodge and we love what we do!

Surrounded by pristine peaks, glaciers, and alpine meadows, Mistaya Lodge is perfect for accessing fabulous terrain, relaxing in the glow of mountaintop sunsets, and star gazing beneath immense skies. Our certified guides can plan excursions for all levels of alpine hiking, guided ski touring, snowshoeing, and mountaineering. At the end of each day, refresh yourself with a sauna, a place to put your feet up, and a delicious home-cooked meal.

While the lodge is nestled deep in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, our operations are based in Golden BC, near Yoho and Banff National Park. Join us at Mistaya Lodge, where comfort, solitude, and alpine adventures meet!

Clean Good washrooms and showers. Covid protocols Pleasant helpful knowledgeable experienced guides. Excellent meals and late afternoon snacks - freshly prepared breads and baked goods daily. Nice to have beer and wine available Well organized Beautiful location and scenery Hiking at a reasonable pace for group members- option of 2 distances or levels of difficulty most days. I highly recommend this lodge to hiking friends.
