We are a Canadian, woman-owned company located in Cranbrook, BC. The story began 25 years ago, when owner, Cathy Rella began with her flair for design and creativity to start a uniquely Canadian headwear and knitwear business. While being a local business involved in the local community, the company has reached national visibility through the Canadian Olympic Red Mitten program, Pink Mitten campaign that raised close to $1 Million for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and MADD Mitten program.

We are passionate about products that combine creative design and trending styles with function and meaning. We work with distributors offering wholesale programs providing stock items, custom products, special make-up, custom labelling and corporate giving programs. We work with corporations and associations offering cause marketing and fundraising programs. We also provide direct to consumer products through our retail partners and kootenayknit.com website.

Our Collections include Eco-Friendly and Artisan products and in May 2021 we launched our new eco-friendly t-shirts and tanks.
