Kam Wai Dim Sum has been a member of Vancouver’s vibrant, foundational and historic Chinatown neighbourbood for three decades. Chinatown has changed a lot since they opened in 1991, and they’ve changed and evolved with it; but the importance of food and family has stayed with them. Family takes on many shapes and sizes, but no matter what your family looks like, getting together to share a meal is a way we all connect.
Dim sum from its foundation has always been about sharing in tea, company and food. In a time when people can feel more isolated and disconnected than ever, Kam Wai believes that connection – whether online, with family, with your community or with your own culture – is vital. Kam Wai’s goal is to help you connect with your family, your culture and yourself through something that connects all of us – the act of sharing delicious food.
