CORE Landscape Products specializes in sustainable landscaping solutions created with the environment in mind.
CORE Landscape Products was founded in 2010 on the notion that we humans possess the ability to improve our environment. Caroline Rutledge founded CORE after seeing the effects that hard (impermeable) surfaces and poor development practices had on our shared environment during her time as a biological consultant. Although biological consulting educates land developers on the effects their practices have on our ‘watershed’, Caroline saw a gap in what was suggested and what was implemented in the final development projects. To ensure ecological best practices were followed, Caroline realized that a bigger difference could be made by providing these same land developers with the right ‘tools’ to enact tangible and immediate change.
With the advent of a company offering affordable, eco-friendly alternatives to impermeable surfaces, it is possible to ensure that the negative effects of these hard surfaces are either eliminated or alleviated. Since 2010 this vision has been realized with over 5 million square feet (!) of the Earth kept alive by Core Landscape Products permeable foundations.
CORE prides itself on creating sustainable products that enrich & protect the natural world. Our ongoing research and developments ensure that we create top-quality products while providing the highest level of service. CORE Landscape Products is a proud supporter of environmental initiatives locally and around the world, including the Atlantic Stormwater Initiative and Haiti Ocean Project. Our goal is to promote and educate the use of environmentally sustainable landscaping products that ensures a future where humans and nature can co-exist.
We now offer support to emerging technologies, signing on as a technology partner with the UBC Materials & Manufacturing Research Institute in 2020, the Nova Scotia lobster industry, as well as establishing an R&D partnership with Nyoka Design Labs: Canadian ‘Emerging Startup of the Year’ 2020.
If you can imagine it, we can create it!
