The Waterfront Bed and Breakfast – BC Marketplace

The Waterfront Bed and Breakfast

Your room, with en-suite bathroom, opens to a private deck and hot tub overlooking Kootenay Lake.

Here you will be steps away from a sandy beach* where you can enjoy an early morning or evening swim. Simply relax and soak up the uninterrupted lake views over West Arm Provincial Park, and enjoy the local wildlife, that includes various species of duck, Canada geese, bald eagles, ospreys, blue herons, humming birds, chickadees, otters, and the occasional deer. More tame critters to be enjoyed are Dill and Pickle, our 12-year old tabby cats, who are very sociable kitties but will understand if you want to be left in peace.

Fabulous stay, beyond our expectations! Claire and Ross were excellent hosts, welcoming, flexible and very accommodating. The breakfast each morning was amazing, a beautiful spread, fair to say it rivals some of the best fine dining we have experienced and eating it lakeside is the perfect backdrop. You will not be left hungry! We loved that we had easy access to our own private hot tub, outdoor deck, and the beach/lake for a swim just a few steps from our room. The accommodations are very well thought out, private, quiet, beautiful and unique. You wake up to looking out at the lake from your glass french doors! Stunning! The home was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and everything felt luxurious, from the housewares, decor, to the best of the bedding linens and towels. This is a home that is well cared for and much thought has been given to the finest of details and consideration for its guests. Claire and Ross provide a very homey/cozy atmosphere along with getaway experience. They are happy to share in the beauty of Nelson and provided us with local tips on how to best enjoy the Kootenay's and shared books on hiking with us, etc. Their actions are reflective of what wonderful people they are, we were honestly so humbled by their generosity and hospitality. We highly recommend and will definitely be back. 5 Stars! A true Gem!
