Mistiso’s Place Guest House

Our weekend getaway home was lovely. The rooms were comfortably appointed with quality furnishings and art that presented a warm comfortable atmosphere. Kitchen was well equipped. I felt at ease there as soon as I walked in. Parking is literally right outside the door and the location makes all downtown Nelson walkable - even for an old guy. This place gets a calm solid 5-star rating. What it not calm is Maria! What a dynamic bundle of energy who obviously loves and enjoys her town. Ask for a dining recommendation and she gives us 10 even though we are only there for the weekend. Ask her what we should do, and she has half a dozen ideas for our 2 days. Wander about town and find her dancing in the clubs, haranguing in the hardware store or joking with the church ladies at a dance performance. I would go back and sleep on the lawn just to interact with Maria! This place is great and what a wonderful weekend we had.
