A volunteer-run, non-profit Community Service Cooperative operating the Nelson and Area Wellness and Education Centre
The Community First Health Co-op operates the Nelson and Area Wellness and Education Centre with volunteers and a volunteer Board of Directors. This Centre houses providers supplying acupuncture and natural health, Chinese medicine, chronic disease support, community services, counselling, educational programs, housing outreach, massage, pre- and post-natal maternity support, pain and addictions management, seniors’ support, social work and street outreach, together with physician, psychologist, chiropractic, family and injury law and accounting practices.
